Allison Personnel Service – Michigan Insurance Recruiters

Allison Personnel Service, Inc., was founded in 1959 to serve the insurance staffing needs of the insurance industry. All placement fees are paid by our client companies which range from independent agencies to national brokers, carriers, and corporations with risk management departments.

Having had experience working within the industry in various capacities, our Michigan insurance recruiters understand the business and are very familiar with the structure and organization of insurance operations. The combined experience within our Michigan insurance recruiting company gives us an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of our client companies. As a result, we are able to share with you our insights on important factors such as corporate culture, performance expectations and work/life balance.

Our process involves personal interviews, career coaching, and professional presentation to those employers that match the skills, experience and career goals of the candidate. Of course, all matters are handled with the utmost of confidentiality.

Our Business Philosophy

A large factor in the continuing success of Allison Personnel’s Michigan insurance recruiters is our operating philosophy. With rare exceptions, we do not refer individuals – however qualified they may appear on paper – until we have interviewed them personally. We check references whenever possible, and we make it a point always to present the full truth, as we know it, regarding the applicant’s background. The result has been a high level of satisfaction on the part of both employers and applicants, and a business that has been developed on a solid foundation of credibility and mutual respect.

Tricia Millstead, ARM, CICPresident, Owner

Prior to joining Allison Personnel in 2001, Tricia spent 15 years in the insurance field holding positions in service, marketing and management on the carrier and agency sides of the business. With a special emphasis on commercial lines insurance jobs, she has a very thorough understanding of agency and carrier operations and workflow.

In addition to recruiting, Tricia continues to provide assistance with mergers & acquisitions, book of business purchases and general industry referrals. Her insight and unique viewpoint of the industry is an additional value to our clients.

Tricia is licensed in property & casualty, life & health, and surplus lines. In addition to attaining her CIC and ARM designations, she also holds a BBA with concentrations in marketing and finance and graduate studies in organizational psychology.

Melissa Lundgren, CIC, AAIVice President

Prior to joining Allison Personnel in 2002, Melissa spent 15 years working directly for insurance agencies and brokers. She has held positions in both personal and commercial lines, performing marketing, service, and management duties.

Melissa has extensive experience with agency operations and personnel management. Having acted as a hiring manager and supervisor, she has first hand experience in identifying the innate qualities and learned skills that make a good fit in the insurance industry.

She is a highly effective recruiter, a skilled career coach, and a great motivator and facilitator. Melissa maintains a property & casualty license, and has achieved her CIC and AAI designations.

Deirdre D’Amore, BBA Recruiting Specialist

Prior to joining Allison Personnel in 2014, Deirdre spent 23 years as an owner/ manager and consultant in the consumer service industry.  Her proven expertise in recruiting the highest caliber talent to support and grow business has made her a valuable addition to our company.

Deirdre is an insightful communicator, quickly identifying successful traits and work habits that are often not communicated on resumes. Companies grow when people grow. Deirdre understands a business’s success is placing the proper talents in the proper positions.

Adam KovalenkoResearch Analyst

Adam joined Allison Personnel in 2016. He utilizes his analytical and research skills to identify potential candidates and markets for our insurance specialty area. He has been instrumental in our expansion into other states, particularly Florida. He is also responsible for content in several of our communications areas, and provides input regarding systems and automation. He is pursuing a degree in engineering as his ultimate career path.
